My name is Michael McAndrew, I stared Central Alps in 2013 because I loved big trucks and cool Jeeps and was curious if I could make a living from it!
The business has changed over the years, what has changed the most is what I love about it. Originally I loved building cool vehicles. But now what I love the most is helping people build their dreams, seeing their reactions when they get to see what they’ve been dreaming of for years come to fruition, and attempting to serve them like Jesus.
If it wasn’t for the people, I would’ve shut the business down years ago.

Central Alps works with top lift kit brands, including Rough Country, to help Dallas-area drivers choose the right setup for their truck, Jeep or SUV. Lift kits can provide anything from a modest increase in ride height to a much more aggressive stance, depending on the vehicle, kit and intended use. Whether you want room for larger tires, new wheels, additional clearance or more aesthetic appeal, our experienced technicians can recommend the right upgrades and make sure your lift kit installation is completed correctly.
Different kits accomplish different goals. Leveling kits raise the front of a truck for a more balanced stance and additional tire clearance. Suspension lifts alter or replace suspension components such as shocks and springs to raise the vehicle, while body lifts raise the body above the frame without making the same changes to suspension geometry. Depending on the application, lift kits may raise a vehicle roughly 2 to 10 inches, creating clearance for bigger tires and helping customize the look and performance of your truck or SUV.
Proper kit installation involves much more than simply raising a truck. Modified suspension geometry, wheels, tires, shocks, steering and other vehicle components should be inspected to help ensure everything works together safely. A general mechanic may not have the same specialized equipment or experience working with modified suspension systems. Central Alps specializes in these upgrades, and a professional wheel alignment is required after changing ride height to help protect handling, tire wear and ride quality.
Most lift kit installations can be completed within several hours depending on the vehicle and complexity of the lift. Our friendly staff takes pride in providing exceptional service and helping customers choose the right combination of lift, wheels, tires, bumpers and other upgrades.
Texas does not establish a single maximum suspension-lift height for passenger vehicles, but lifted vehicles still must meet applicable equipment and overall-height requirements. Headlights must remain between 24 and 54 inches from the ground, and the maximum legal height of a vehicle and its load is 14 feet. Lifted vehicles should also maintain proper driver visibility and correctly aimed lighting so modifications do not create unnecessary glare for oncoming traffic.
Having your vehicle inspected after a truck lift helps identify clearance, lighting, suspension and alignment issues before they become a problem. Central Alps can help Dallas-area customers choose a lift that delivers the bold stance they want while keeping safety, ride quality and proper installation in mind.
